Abstract

295,626. Weiss, W. E. Aug. 15, 1927, [Convention date]. Regulating delivery by opening suction valves. - In a fuel pump for Deisel engines, the delivery is controlled by a bevelled end M on the plunger which controls the closing of the suction port K and may be rotated by a lever N to vary the moment in the delivery stroke at which the port is closed. In another form, the port K is controlled bv the bevelled end of a rotatable piston valve which is reciprocated by the plunger-operating mechanism.
