Abstract

295,059. Wichmann, G. C. H. April 14, 1927. Platen machines ; cylinder machines ; impression surfaces. -The beds, tables, and platens of printing-machines are formed of rolled metal units integrally united by welding. A rolled steel top plate 1, Fig. 2, has ribs 2 welded to it. and also cross ribs which may be welded to the top plate and to the ribs 2; or the table &c. may be formed of rolled steel channel sections 4, Fig. 3 arranged side by side and secured by welding. Local attachments may be secured to the bed &c. according to the particular type of machine in which the bed is used.
