Abstract
294,548. I. G. Farbenindustrie Akt.- Ges. July 25, 1927, [Convention date]. Circulating fluids through materials on perforated tubes.-For washing or other fluid treatment of artificial silk or other fibres wound on permeable spools, stoppers and intermediate members for holding the spools are mounted loosely ir holes in plates. As shown, the porcelain stoppers F, Fig. 3 and tubular interme. diate members F1 Fig. 4, have rubber washers G, G<1> for bearing on the spools and rubber rings H, H<1> for retaining them in holes in the rubber-coated iron plate A, with considerable play especially in the axial direction. The plates have shoulders for lifting by a crane grab and lugs for spacing when packed for storage. Th spools may be transferred collectively from the spinning frame ',o the washing tank, each plate carrying one set of spools, the lowest plate being used as a. false bottom.
