Cam-actuated pumps; stroke, varying; pumps with reciprocating and rotating pistons. - A pump for viscous fluids such as artificial silk comprises a number of cylinders B in a body A, and a number of differential pistons, which are reciprocated by a rotating cam I and rotated by a gear-wheel H on the cam shaft engaging gearwheels D on the pistons. The rounded ends c, c<1> of the pistons engage slippers L on the cam H and a wobbler K pivoted on a screw stud J. Axial adjustment of the stud varies the effective stroke of the pistons. Cut-away portions C<2> of the pistons control inlet and delivery ports B<3>, B<4> in the cylinders. The ports B<3> communicate by passages A<3> with a chamber E<1 >fed with liquid by passages A<5>, a<1>, and the ports B<4> communicate by passages A<4> with a chamber F' open to the delivery conduit A<6>, A<7>.
