Liquid-level pressure gauges.-A pressure indicator which is particularly applicable for use in indicating liquid levels, comprises a U-tube B containing a heavy liquid such as mercury connected to a vessel A subject to the pressure to be indicated, and to a vessel D of larger diameter. A tube E containing a coloured lighter liquid connects the vessel D to a gauge K. The mercury and the indicating liquid have a common level in the vessel D, so that pressure variations produce little change of this level. The vessel A is provided with a cover C and is perforated at a to allow access of the fluid to be indicated. In the case of immersion in water, the pressure at depth h is indicated on the gauge K.
