Lawn-mowers.-In lawn-mowers in which internal teeth on the driving wheels gear with pinions on the spindle of the rotary cutter, means are provided for adjusting the driving wheels vertically relative to one another so that they may run on different levels for cutting the grass at the edges of lawns. Each wheel c is mounted centrally on a disc h pivoted on the axis of the rotary cutter. The disc h is adjustable about its pivot, being secured in position by a bolt k passing through a slot e in the fixed side plate or shield b. The gearing is always in mesh and is always covered by the disc.
