Abstract
292,208. Walker Bros. (Wigan), Ltd., and Williamson, W. D. March 8, 1927. Couplings for tractors.-The front of a twowheeled trailer is supported on the rear of a tractor by means of a hemispherical joint 33, 7, a tapered member 6 on the trailer being provided to align the parts when the -trailer is being lowered. When in place, a faucet 31 on the trailer surrounds a spigot piece 30 on the tractor. Locking is effected by pins 9, which pass through the faucet into an external groove in the spigot. The pins may be withdrawn by the action of jacks 12, 13 on bell-crank levers 11. Further movement of the jacks raises the member 6 clear of the joint. A hinged strut is provided to support the end of the trailer in raised position when uncoupled.
