Hinges readily separable about hinge pins.-A lift-off hinge for the doors of motor vehicles is provided with a tapered projection e at the base of one flap adapted to engage with a similarlyshaped recess f on the other flap, to secure the hinge parts together when the hinge flaps and the door are closed and prevent rattling of the parts. The hinge pin is formed with a tapered base d and the socket member is shaped to correspond.
