Rattling of doors, preventing. - In order to prevent rattling of the doors of motor vehicles, a door fitting a, Fig. 3, mounted on the outer face of the door and provided at the free edge of the door with a female member preferably in the form of a conical aperture d, is adapted when the door is closed automatically to engage a male member, preferably a conical stud e, mounted on a fitting f attached to the outer face of the door frame or body h of the vehicle. In cases where the door is mounted on wing hinges i, as shown in Fig. 4, an anti-rattling device is also provided at the hinge edge of the door, the device consisting of a hook j formed on the end of the fitting a adapted to engage the projecting end k of an angle plate l fixed to the panel m of the vehicle body.
