Abstract

291,394. Stellmacher, M. June 1, 1927, [Convention date]. Inflatable, body attachments.-An inflatable life-saving belt which closely resembles an ordinary athletic belt is given a considerable overlap and is secured on the wearer by a clamping buckle i. At the end of the belt a pin k is provided to prevent the end from slipping through the buckle when the belt is inflated. When worn as an ordinary belt the tubular body a thereof is folded longitudinally to reduce its breadth. An inflating tube h having a closure member is provided in the inside of the belt. The overlapping portion of the belt r is held in position by a holder m and a string is passed through the hole in the buckle i and over the head of the wearer to prevent the belt from slipping off when inflated.
