Spray burners; burners, mounting .-A spray burner comprises an inner tube 11 supplying fuel through circularly arranged ducts 45 in a nozzle 41 to a central discharge orifice 48 in a sprayer plate 47, and an outer tube 10 surrounding the tube 11 so as to form an annular passage 12 for steam or other atomizing fluid to pass through circularly arranged ducts 42 and an annular recess 44 in the nozzle 41 and then through an annular recess 49 and inclined tangential ducts. 50 in the sprayer plate 47 to the discharge orifice 48. The nozzle 41 screws on the reduced end 40 of the tube 10 and the sprayer plate 47 is secured to the nozzle 41 by a threaded cap 46. Alternatively, steam may be supplied through the tube 11 and fuel through the annular passage 12. The tubes 10, 11 screw on an end piece 13 which is held detachable against a conical seating on a supporting member 15 by a screw 25 carried by a pivoted yoke 23. The tube 10 is positioned by a sleeve 22 and setscrew 27 carried by an annular portion 21 of the member 15. The end-piece 13 and supporting member 15 are formed with fuel and steam ducts and a bye-pass 28 is preferably provided to allow steam to be blown through the oil passages for Bushing purposes.
