Abstract

288,603. Bertola, C. April 13, 1927, [Convention date]. Hinged handles.-A flat painter's brush is connected to the handle by a double knuckle joint permitting the brush to be set at any angle. The brush 1 is provided with a pair of pivot lugs 5, 6 for a pivot bolt 12 passing through one end of a connecting piece 11 jointed at its other end by a pivot bolt 14 to lugs 9 on a ferrule 8 secured to the handle 7, the pivot bolts 12, 14 being at right angles. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also the provision of a ball joint in place of the double knuckle joint, but this subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
