Abstract

288,112. Werner, E. Dec. 2, 1927. Calendering.-In calendering apparatus of the kind having a series of calendering rolls 1 - - 8 and chasing rollers 10, 11 whereby the fabric is guided for repeated passage in superposed layers through the rolls 1 - - 8, means is provided for taking up slack due to stretching, e.g. a series of guide, rollers 12 and a series of floating rollers 17 in the bights of fabric between each pair of rollers 10, 12.
