Bedsteads convertible into seats.- A chair convertible into a bedstead comprises a leg section c pivoted at d to an intermediate section e which is pivoted at f to the main frame a, so that during conversion from one form to the other the parts c, e turn about their pivots in opposite directions, together with a fixed support g on the leg rest section c and a hinged support h on the section e adapted to be automatically folded, as by the slotted link j, when the device is converted into a chair. The back section b may be pivoted at k to the frame a, or, as shown in Fig. 3, may be carried by pivoted links n having pin and slot connections p, q therewith. The pivot f may be mounted to run in grooves r, Fig. 6, and in this case the back would be pivoted to the frame a and provided with a leg to support it when lowered rearwardly.
