Abstract
287,805. Cianchi, A. Oct. 28, 1927. Vacuum tubes. - Wireless receiving-sets are built up from screened units each comprising an upper screened compartment for a thermionic valve, and a lower screened compartment for the associated circuit elements. A base a, Fig. 1, for the lower compartment is connected by brackets d, e to a base f, for the valve compartment. The lower screen h is secured as by bolts p to the flange of the base a, and is reduced in diameter at its upper end to form a ring i which is slotted at l to afford resilience. The screen m fits over this resilient ring. The base a has a number of sockets b or other terminals for connection to the valve and circuit elements within the screen, and for external connections between the stages. The screen may stand on a flanged ring n provided with external terminals o.
