Abstract
223,402. Lambton, C. S., and Nelson, F. Oct. 24, 1923. Receiving sets, construction of; crystal detectors.-A wireless or like panel has terminal connectors, such as sockets, mounted on it and permanently wired so that, by engaging components with the connectors, a number of predetermined circuits or combinations may be obtaiiaed. Fig. 5 shows a " tuner panel " the second coil D<3>, D<4> of which mav be used either as a loose coupler or for reaction. In the former case, output terminals G<1>, F<1> are used, while in the latter these serve for reaction purposes, while G, F are the output terminals. The " tuner panel " is also provided with sockets b<1>, b<2>, b<3>, b<30> whereby a condenser can be placed in series or parallel with coil sockets D<1>, D<2> in the aerial circuit. Fig. 5 shows the method of substituting a crystal detector g for a valve. In a modification, a two-valve panel is shown allowing low-frequency amplification on high-frequency amplification using various couplings, and also the use of a crystal detector in place of one of the valves. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 225,287.
