Abstract

287,489. Darche, A. A. A. March 21, 1927, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. Four-stroke-cycle engines.-The running of an ordinary four-stroke-cycle engine is improved by throttling the passage for the incoming charge and by so reducing the cylinder clearance, by fitting a longer piston, that the compression pressure is substantially unchanged; smaller nozzles are also fitted to the carburettor.
