Abstract

287,271. Broadhurst, H. F., and Birch, H. F. F. Jan. 20, 1927. Bottling, corking, stoppering, and capsuling.-A device for feeding bottles &c. to filling, capping, and like machines is arranged so that while the bottles &c. are continuously received and discharged, they are stationary at the moment of filling &c. On the undersurface of a rotary disc 10 bell-crank levers 11 are pivotally secured to the shorter arms of which carry rollers 12 engaging a fixed cam 5 arranged beneath the disc. Stops 14 are provided to keep the arms 11<b> of levers in their effective positions. Bottles x are carried round the track 15 by the arms 11<b> as the disc 10 rotates, and are correctly positioned with respect to the capping &c. mechanism y by the vertical wall 15<a>. The arm 11<b> lags at the capping position due to the step in the cam and is thereafter rearwardly inclined to facilitate the transfer of capped bottles &c. to the conveyer 16.
