Abstract

321,485. Wallis, H. C., and Ginzler, F. G. Aug. 28, 1928. Stoppers, bail and like., - A closure for a bottle, jar &c. of the kind having an interrupted bead or flange adjacent the mouth of the container, has interconnected lever-arms k with cams g on extensions thereof and pivoted at i', so that as the lever-arms are depressed the cams are raised to engage the underside of the interrupted flange b, and the fulcra of the lever-arms k change from the pivot to the point of contact of the cams and the flange. The cams travel from one side to the other of vertical lines through the pivots i' to hold the cap in position.
