525,900. Closures for carboys and bottles. BERK, A. D., and BOOER, J. R. March 2, 1939, No. 6901. [Class 125 (iii)] The stopper of a carboy jar or like container is held in position in the container neck by means of an elastic annular band 1 round the neck and an elastic transverse strip 2 which passes over the stopper. The strip may be in one or two portions with a strengthening piece 5, and it has central upstanding lugs 4 to afford a hold. The parts may be formed of L-shaped or Z-shaped strips, and the container may be formed with a rib on the neck below which the band 1 fits.
