Abstract

1378108 Filling containers STORK AMSTERDAM NV 13 March 1973 [16 March 1972] 12076/73 Heading B8T Bottles 12 are filled on a rotating table machine moving about a shaft 5, each bottle being supported on a platform 6 urged upwards by a spring 8 against the restraint of a cam and roller mechanism 10, 9. At the transfer position to a star-wheel 14, a filled bottle is raised, due to a recess 24 in the cam track, so that the bottle neck engages a cap 17 supplied by a rotary feed device 16. The caps 17 are fed from a shoot 18 into pockets (22), Fig. 1 (not shown), connected to suction channels 20. A mechanism 25-27 provides further upward pressure to cap the bottle. Empty bottles are supplied to the filling machine by a rotary feed member (11), Fig. 1 (not shown). A modified cap feed mechanism is described, Figs. 4-5 (not shown).
