Stoppering. - Cardboard closure discs &c. are applied to bottles by apparatus comprising a lever k carrying a pivoted link g which, during the first part of the movement of the lever k, actuates a sliding stud n adapted to engage in a slot m in a pivoted arm l to transfer a disc s from a relservoir g to a position above the bottle mouth, when further movement of the lever causes a roller r to engage a spring-pressed plunger i which forces the disc into the bottle mouth. The bottle support comprises an adjustable stand b and a detachable member a which is used for bottles of smaller size.
