Cam-actuated pumps ; buckets; single-acting b u c k e t pumps. - A lubricator comprises a container 1 fitted with a strainer and a pump barrel 7 in which a piston 12 is reciprocated bv a cam 39 on the shaft to be lubricated and a spring 25. Liquid enters the barrel through the inlet valve 26 and passes through ports and a valve 16 in the piston to an axial passage 35 in the piston rod, and then through ports 36 to the bearing &c. to be lubricated. The piston has external slots, one, 13, for priming the pump by opening a screwdown valve 32, another, 14, for engaging a guide pin 14<a>, and others for the attachment of external delivery pipes feeding other points. The piston has a threaded rod 18 provided with nuts 19, 20 by means of which the stroke is adjusted. The driving cam may be external to the bearing 10.
