286,182. Boyd, T. A., Boyd, H. A., and Boyd, Ltd., J. & T. Oct. 25, 1927. Spindle apparatus.-In flyer spinning and like frames wherein the bobbins are dragged by a cord an auxiliary drag, in addition to that due to the weight of the bobbin, is applied and may comprise members which are arranged in radial holes in a disc 4 and pressed by centrifugal force against the wall of a surrounding cup 3, as described in Specification 257,128, or a disc driven by the bobbin and pressed by a weighted lever. The cord may engage a groove in the bobbin, as shown, or a groove in the disc. Specification 3453/79 also is referred to.
