Abstract

285,631. Davies, A. V. Jan. 26, 1927. Locks for bicycles; padlocks. - A device for locking a cycle wheel comprises an arched strip 1 secured between the seat stays and over the mudguard by clips 3, and having a bar 2 pivoted to one end of the strip so that it may be swung into position between a pair of spokes, the free end of the bar entering a slot in a spring lock 4 integrally secured to the other end of the strip and being held by the bolt 6 which snaps through a hole 7 in the end of the bar. When out of use, the bar is held alongside the stay by a clip 8, as shown in dotted lines.
