Boards, reciprocating.-A sign comprises one or more constantly visible panels 4a, bearing advertisements &c., which are periodically reciprocated or oscillated in guides 4. The actuation is effected by cams or cranks on a countershaft 8 driven by a motor 11, springs 8<a> being provided for returning the panels. The panels may be translucent and be illuminated from behind or in front, and coloured lamps switched on and off by the motor 11 may be employed.
