Abstract

285,409. Rochet, L. Feb. 15, 1927, [Convention date]. Sewing - machines, stands; driving; tables, combined with and convertible into sewing-machines. - Sewing-machines are concealed within stands formed from rigid light frames of cast steel or other suitable metal, Fig. 8, with wood panels, door and top secured thereto. The part a of the frame has diagonal struts b with a bearing at their crossing for the flywheel. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also the provision of bearings on both sides a, a<1> of the frame, for pulleys f over which pass cords t secured to the pedal frame k and machine-head flap j, so that when the machine-head is lowered into the stand, Fig. 9, and concealed by the top v, the pedal g and frame k are lifted out of sight from between the legs i. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted, and now forms the subject-matter of Specification 293,360.
