Abstract
285,357. British Thomson-Houston Co., Ltd., (Assignees of Engstrom, E. W.). Feb. 11, 1927, [Convention date]. Keying systems.-In a telegraphic transmitter embodying a thermionic valve oscillator 1 the anode current for which is supplied through a smoothing circuit 11, means is provided to prevent transient oscillations in the smoothing circuit due to rapid changes of anode impedance caused by keying at 6. For this purpose, an inductance 14 for eliminating surge currents and comprising a coil or low inductance wound on a core of lowreluctance is connected between the smoothing circuit and the valve. The anode current is supplied from an alternating-current source 7 with Associated rectifying means 9, 10.
