529,545. Supply systems for resistance welding. BERGHAUS, B. June 2, 1939, No. 16319. Convention date, June 3, 1938. [Class 38 (iv)] A resistance welding installation comprises a transformer 6 the primary of which, in series with a condenser 5, forms the oscillatory circuit of a thermionic valve oscillation generator fed from a source 1 of D.C. or rectified A.C. and producing high or medium frequency current for energizing the welding circuit. The load on the D.C. source may be equalized by a choke 2 and regulable buffer battery 11. In a modification, Fig. 2 (not shown) the installation is fed from a three-phase network through a rectifier, the welding load is coupled through an additional transformer, and an auxiliary load is connected in parallel with the oscillation generator.
