284,829. Dunlop Rubber Co., Ltd., Twiss, D. F., and Thomas, F. Dec. 20, 1926. Utilizing waste rubber. - In the method of utilizing waste vulcanized rubber by applying heat and pressure to comminuted scrap, an antiager such as quinol, aminophenol, diaminophenol aldol and naphthylamine or other condensation product of the aldehydes and aromatic amines is added as well as sulphur. In an example, 100 parts vulcanized crumb, 1 part aldol and naphthylamine and 1 part sulphur are heated under pressure in a " daylight press " for 30 minutes at 150‹ C. Specification 5486/06 is referred to.
