Abstract

283,770. Cremer, P. T. April 5, 1927. Penholders; finger-guides for facilitating writing. - A device for facilitating and teaching writing consists of an arm 6 pivoted in a slot of a penholder 1, and adapted to extend, during writing, outwardly and rearwardly from the penholder, and to lie between the first and second fingers of the hand. When out of use the arm folds into the slot in the holder, a finger-piece being provided to facilitate grasping. The arm may be pivoted in different positions on the penholder to suit different users. The ferrule. 2 for the nib is extended rearwardly, and formed with a notch into which the end of the arm projects to prevent relative rotation of the ferrule and penholder.
