Abstract
281,796. Cruez, A. J. E. de, and Stanton, E. J. June 7, 1927. Road-traffic signals on vehicles.-A roadvehicle direction signal of the pivoted pointer type is arranged so that when it is turned to right or left an audible signal is given, and, at night, the signal is illuminated. The signalling pointer comprises a casing 6 having a transparent or translucent panel 7 bearing an arrow, and is mounted on a shaft 8 which may be rocked by a lever 10. When the pointer is thrown over, a contact 13 on the arm 10 engages one of a pair of contacts 12 to sound a horn, &c. 26. and contacts 17 on a disc 16 secured to the casing 6 engage fixed contacts 15 to close the circuit of a lamp 24.
