Abstract

281,192. Nardin, W. T. July 9, 1927. Hooks, closed.-In a hook-coupling for tyre chains a member 15 to which one end 18 of the chain is secured has a slot engaged by the other end link 20, the slot having an arcuate portion 22, a lateral entrance 23 and an inner part 21 which is slightly inclined to the longitudinal axis of the member. The locking-disc 26 has a slot 28 which accommodates the end of the link 20 when the latter is engaged with the member 15, a lug 27 being provided for rotating the disc. The member 15 has a recess 30 so that the link 20 may take up the position shown in Fig. 6, the lengths of the link and slot 21 being such as to prevent disengagement in this position.
