Pocket and like knives.-A knife has a detachable blade c fitting in a channel-shaped carrier a, a portion of the blade c fitting behind a transverse portion e of the carrier. The rear end of the blade c has a gap k in which one arm of a double arm pivoted catch h engages the rocking of which engages or disengages the blade from the carrier. The latter may be pivoted as shown or fixed to a handle q. The transverse part e of the carrier may be replaced by a pin. The pivoted catch h may have a finger nailengaging groove n and the blade c may have projections o, Fig. 4, to deflect cut material away from the carrier a.
