Abstract

279,403. Jarmai, R., and Lorand, E. Oct. 19, 1926, [Convention date]. Carbon papers and like transfer materials.- Ink ribbons, carbon papers, and the like are rendered more durable and less liable to smear by incorporating ultramarine in the body that carries the colouring-medium. Preferably the body, of wax, resin &c., is washed up with the ultramarine, and a colouring-medium consisting of aniline dye ground in oil is added thereto. Suitable colouring-compositions are (1) 10 parts carnauba wax, 3 parts bees-wax, 1 part Japan wax, ¢ part rosin, 15 parts ultramarine, 5 parts Paris blue, 1 part Victoria blue soluble in fat, 5 parts olive oil, and 1 part elain, or (2) 10 parts montan wax, 3 parts carnauba wax, 1 part stearin, 10 parts violet lac, 2 parts methyl violet soluble in fat, and 10 parts olive oil.
