Abstract

279,326. Rossi, A. April 19, 1927. Valve gear. - The inlet and exhaust tappets of a motorcycle engine are actuated respectively by rockers 10 and 11 pivoted at 9 and having laterally-offset rollers 12 bearing on separate cams 6 and 7 of different diameters, instead of upon a single cam, so that each valve may be given its most suitable, timing, the larger cam being farthest from the plane of the arms. The tappets bear upon projections 13 on the rockers.
