Abstract

279,216. Rees, D. E. Sept. 11, 1926. Casings for meters. -Unauthorized connection to the terminals of a meter is prevented by a bar B over which the supply company's cables are passed and which obstructs a straight passage between the meter terminals and the opening C through which the cables enter. The bar B is cast with, or fixed to, a back plate G which is fastened to the meter board by screws passing through holes D. To the plate G is hinged the cover A which, when closed is sealed through lugs E, F. Alternatively the case of the meter may be extended to carry the bar B.
