Abstract

278,530. Noble, W., and McAinsh, N.J. Oct. 19, 1926. Thermionic valve circuits.-Thermionic valve plate and filament circuits are fed in series from a common source of supply 1, 2, and an electric discharge device 3 of the kind described in Specification 211,268, [Class 38 (ii), Electric currents, Converting &c.], is used to ensure that variations in the current taken by one circuit do not affect the potential applied to either. Grid bias potential is also supplied, and more than one adjustable value of grid bias and plate potential is obtained by potentiometer resistances 5, 6, 7. An electromagnetic device 4 is provided to limit the current by breaking a contact 8 should the current exceed that for which the discharge device provides compensation.
