278,466. Lightalloys, Ltd., and Grieve, W. H. July 21, 1926. Ventilators.-The sash members of a ventilator of the louver or other type for vehicles or ships consists of two channel parts 1, 2 of light non. corrosive metal, such as an aluminium-silicon alloy, cast in the same mould and secured together by bolts and nuts 3, 4, passing through abutting parts 5. Recesses for attachment of fitments may be formed in the parts and covered by apertured plates 6 adapted to engage means secured to the fixed frame. The corners may be mitred and welded or secured by bolts and a rightangled spacing block. Separate spacing pieces may replace the abutments 5 through which the bolts pass.
