277,001. Krupp Grusonwerk Akt.- Ges., F. Sept. 6, 1926, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. Preliminary treatment followed by magnetic concentration. - Precious metals are extracted from ores, residues, &c. by heating the ores &c. in the presence of or with the addition of magnetizable materials to a temperature below that necessary to melt the mass, and subjecting the product, after grinding if necessary, to magnetic separation. The charge may also have added to it other materials such as iron-sulphur compounds, iron-arsenic compounds, or calcium-sulphur compounds. If the material to be treated is already capable of magnetic separation, such a separation is preferably carried out before the heating process, the residue being then treated as above.
