274,889. Rademacher, R., and Goebel, E. July 23, 1926, [Convention date]. Treating ores to facilitate magnetic separation. -A process for separating non-magnetic or weakly magnetic constituents from magnetic or more strongly magnetic constituents of a mineral mixture comprises roasting the mixture either at 300-600‹ C. or above 1100‹ C. and then effecting magnetic separation; or the mixture may be roasted at 300-600‹ C., magnetically separated, and the non-magnetic residue re-roasted at above 1100‹ C.
