Abstract

276,740. Reyrolle & Co., Ltd., A., Leeson, B. H., and Briefly, R. H. June 2, 1926. Fusible cut-outs. - A multiple-wire cartridge, fuse comprises a casing within which is a solid core C<3> of insulating material such as cement in which tubular passages axe formed one for each fuse wire D', the space H<1> at each end of the core being filled with marble dust &c. The casing may be formed of two insulators A<2> carrying contact blocks G<1> surrounded by a magnetic tube J and an insulating cover K. Alternatively, the casing may be a tube of fibre lined with asbestos and closed at each end by a plug of cement &c. The wires may be of varying thickness and of different materials, e.g. copper, tin, &c.
