Diaphragms.-In a diaphramn of the type comprising an outer frusto-conical portion 1 and a re-entrant portion 2, one or both portions 1, 2 are of pleated formation. In the form shown the portion 1 is pleated and the flange 3 of the portion 2 which is of smooth conical formation is glued to the portion 1. The diaphragm is provided with supporting strips 5 of flexible material, such as leather, secured to the usual rigid supporting-ring or spider. The Specification states that the term " conical " is used to include converging or substantially conical or frustoconical formations.
