Walls comprise a frame 5, horizontal members 10 of tapered cross-section rigidly secured on the frame, a reticulated metal sheeting 12 rigidly secured to the horizontal members, and a cementitious body 14 filling the spaces between the various elements and forming a finished surface. The metal sheeting may be of expanded metal, and the cementitious body of mortar and rough. cast. The surfaces of the members 10 may be rough or grooved and perforations may be provided. The members 10 may be arranged with their upper' and lower edges in contact, such edges being partially cut away to form V-shaped grooves. In a further modification, the boards 10 are spaced apart with their upper and lower edges tapered so as to provide dovetail-shaped joints.
