Abstract

275,992. Werkenthin, C. Aug. 11, 1926, [Convention date]. Joints, carpenters'. - The frame of a wooden door is strengthened by struts, each consisting of a pair of diagonal members 4, 5. The diagonals are fitted into each frame division without mortising and are preferably connected by nailing to an inserted piece of plywood 6 so as to lie flush with the outer surface of the frame. The outer covering is of veneer 7 with the grain parallel to one of the frame edges.
