Abstract
275,891. King, J. F. March 14, 1927. Yarns and threads, treating with liquids.-Rayon, cotton wool, silk, linen, and other plait or fibrous material are bleached, filled, and weighted by boiling under pressure in a die with a solution containing 300 lbs. sodium perborate, 50 lbs. cornstarch, 30 lbs. sodium triphosphate, 25 lbs, sulphate of alumina, 75 1bs. epsom salts, and 20 lbs. denatured alcohol for each 500 lbs. of the material. If the weighting and filling materials are to be omitted the following is used : 300 lbs. sodium perborate, 125 lbs. sodium triphosphate, 50 1bs. epsom salts, and 25 lbs. sulphate of alumina.
