Abstract

275,625. Siemens - Schuchertwerke Akt.-Ges., (Assignees of Siemens-Schuckertwerke Ges.). Aug. 6, 1926, [Convention date]. Vapour engines.-In a vapour engine for use on aircraft, substances, for example toluol, are used which are liquid at ordinary temperatures and pressures, which have melting points at or below 50 C., and which have a low heat content relative to steam at the same pressure. The vapour may be generated at the critical temperature and pressure, and the fluid may be burnt to heat the generator. The liquid may be preheated by vapour bled from the prime mover. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 11060/02, 6209/03 and 15266/04.
