Bodies. - Vehicle bodies are mounted on the chassis by means of brackets secured to the outer sides of the chassis longitudinals and adapted to receive downwardly projecting parts of the body such as pillars, and the running boards may be secured to these brackets. The brackets 3, 4 each comprise two sheets of sheet metal or one sheet bent U-shaped and flanged as shown to take the ends of the pillars 6, 7, flanges 8 securing the running boards and upper flanges supporting outer lateral parts 15 of the flooring to which outer parts the seats are secured. The wheel arches 11 may be secured by brackets 12, and brackets 13 on the arches may support the rear pillars 14. Specification 269,817 is referred to.
