273,240. Dubilier Condenser Co. (1925), Ltd., (Assignees of Dubilier, W.). June 24, 1926, [Convention date]. Condensers.-A unit comprises a flexible strip 1 of insulating material, for example a film of substance similar to that used for motion pictures, and metal layers 2, 3 on opposite faces thereof. Such a unit could not be formed into a roll condenser without employing an extra insulating strip, a construction which adds to the expense when two or more superposed units are employed. By dispensing with insulation, Fig. 6, two adjacent layers 2 will be in contact and when rolled up, the outer layers 3 will also be in contact with one another and insulated from the layers 2. In Fig. 7 is shown a condenser of more than two superposed units about to be rolled, wherein one terminal is connected to the outer layer 3 and the other to the layers 2 nearest the centre of the roll to connect the units in series.
