Condensers.-A high-voltage condenser is built up from elements each formed by rolling strips of tin foil a, b with an interposed strip of paper c, the tin-foil strips projecting at opposite edges of the paper and being pressed over to contact with the edges of the strips of adjacent elements in an insulating tube d, the several elements being thus connected in series. A number of condenser units so formed are then mounted in zigzag formation on an insulating framework and connected in series for use in high-voltage work.
